On March 3rd 2019, 107 in Redfern, Sydney will host Play Fare. This is an Indie Developer game showcase which will feature over 20 console, board, card and role playing games. In the lead up to Play Fare, 1989 Arcade Bar will provide a series of vintage arcade games free to play at 107.

The full program will include a chance to play the games, meet the developers, attend industry panels, live music and beer tasting. The full program will be announced soon.

What if I can’t attend the showcase?

The Play Fare exhibit will run from Tuesday 26th February to Sunday March 3rd 2019 at 107. The exhibit will feature retro arcade games courtesy of 1989 Arcade Bar and original artwork from Play Fare Developers. Unfortunately, the exhibit will not include live music or beer tasting.

If you are unable to attend the Play fair exhibit or showcase, don’t worry. Gamers Classified will be there and we’ll provide coverage across our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

Play Fare is organised by 107, 1989 Arcade Bar and Mountain Goat Beer. 107 is a creative space in Sydney which provides gallery space, workshops and artists’ residencies. Its aim is to create a positive social change by encouraging communities to be more creative. To this end, 107 offers business, educational and social services which promote a creative culture.

1989 Arcade Bar is a a retro gaming arcade and bar in Sydney’s inner west. It has a collection of vintage arcade machines and board games where guests and enjoy a drink with a side order of nostalgia. 1989 Arcade Bar periodically hosts gaming tournaments such as the Classic Tetris Aussies Championship.

Mountain Goat Beer is an award winning Melbourne-based brewery which specialises in craft beer. What’s more, Mountain Goat Beer is an environmentally and vegan friendly company. Their India Pale Ale was the first certified organic beer in Australia and their best seller, the Steam Ale, is organic.
