Star Wars: Battlefront 2

For those who pre ordered the next installment of the Star Wars series, Star Wars: Battlefront II, the beta starts tonight Wednesday the 4th of October at 7pm AEDT with the open beta starting the same time on Friday the 6th and runs until Monday the 9th.

There’s been a long wait for fans since the last Battlefront was released, almost two years ago. This time around the developers were able to put their time and resources together to develop a single player campaign for the game which was noticeably absent from the first Battlefront. From the story trailer, we know you play as Iden Versio, commander of the Inferno Squad on the side of the Empire with one final command from the Emperor. Operation Cinder is the first step in securing the future for the Empire and your Squadron is crucial to it’s success.

Star Wars Battlefront II is set for release on November 17th unless you buy the Deluxe edition which will let you start a few days earlier on the 13th of November. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait until the beta goes live to start downloading one of the biggest ‘ever distributed’ betas by EA as the pre-load option begins the same time as the beta. You can buy Battlefront 2 from the Origin and EA store in Standard and Deluxe edition.
